**L-lysine and L-arginine are amino acids that are among the building blocks of proteins. L-lysine is an essential amino acid that cannot be produced by the body and therefore must be supplied regularly. L-lysine is an important building block of muscle proteins and immune cells in the body.
L-arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid, meaning that the body can naturally produce it, but only in the presence of certain substances. In the absence of these substances or during periods of increased demand, L-arginine supplementation may be required. L-arginine is involved in protein synthesis and nitric oxide production.
